Home to WNBL’s Melbourne Boomers, Victoria’s State Basketball Centre serves as a 3,500 seat venue for national and local competition alike. With an extensive track record for Basketball and Netball arena across Australia and New Zealand, Ortech was proud to provide a high-impact resistant, acoustic wall system for the Eastern Melbourne recreation facility.

Durra Panel Acoustic Pattern was incorporated into the internal envelope of the building containing the practice and show courts to help control both internal noise reverberation and sound transmission between the stadium and the adjacent Eastlink tollway.

Construction activities are progressing for the indoor sports stadium component of a new sports and recreation centre in Wantirna South. The 27-hectare site adjacent to EastLink will become a new home for the State Basketball Centre and Knox regional soccer centre.
