About The Role
We are currently seeking a dynamic, hands-on and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team and play a pivotal role in our production operations.
Responsibilities
• Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands, optimise resource utilisation, and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Team Management: Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of production staff, including production supervisors, operators, and technicians, to ensure efficient and safe production processes.
• Quality Control: Establish and maintain quality control procedures to guarantee that products meet the highest standards, and oversee inspection and testing processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate production processes & SOPs, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative strategies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimise production efficiency.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control production costs, including labour, and equipment expenses, to achieve cost-effective production while maintaining product quality.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote a safe working environment by implementing best practices and providing appropriate training.
• Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials, maintain optimum inventory levels, and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor production performance, analyse key metrics, and generate reports to assess productivity, identify bottlenecks, and propose actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of production planning, quality control, and process improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing sector.
• Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
